ORGAN DONATION EVENT WAS HELD AT OUR TURHAL CAMPUS

Within the scope of the project ‘Do you want to be a light to hope?’ conducted by our university Faculty of Health Sciences Dr. Lecturer. A training seminar on ‘Organ Donation’ was held on Thursday, 03 October 2024 at our Turhal Campus within the scope of the ‘Umuda Işık Olmak İstermak Misin?’ project led by Tuğba Solmaz, Faculty of Health Sciences. The seminar, jointly hosted by Turhal Vocational School, Turhal Health Services Vocational School and Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences, was held with the intense participation of our students. Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Tuğba Solmaz's opening speech, Canan Can, Tissue and Organ Transplant Coordinator of our University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, gave detailed information to the participants about the organ donation process. Within the scope of the training, project researcher Fatma Meydan explained the importance of organ donation visually on models and offered the participants the opportunity to better understand the subject.

This meaningful event emphasised the vital importance of organ donation to our students and supported the project aiming to raise awareness. We thank all our participants.
