The “Turkey’s Strength Lies in Its Forests” Event Was Held

In celebration of World Forestry Day on March 21 and Forest Week from March 21–26, the Turhal Forestry Directorate organized a tree-planting event themed “Turkey’s Strength Lies in Forests” at the Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences with the aim of raising environmental awareness, contributing to nature, and leaving a more livable environment for future generations.

The event was attended by Turhal District Governor Ersin Tepeli, Turhal Mayor Mehmet Erdem Ural, the Director of our Vocational School, Dr. Ebubekir Yaşar, the Dean of the Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Altuntaş, Director of the Zile Dinçerler School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Yılmaz, heads of public institutions in Turhal, academic and administrative staff, and students.

As part of the event, protocol members and participants made a meaningful contribution to nature by planting saplings in our faculty’s reforestation area. The sapling planting event, organized as an important initiative that contributes to the environment and fosters social awareness, was successfully concluded.
