A conference titled “Youth and a Safe Future” was held at the Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences by the Tokat Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Bureau.
The conference was presented by Police Officer Oktay Durmuş. Durmuş informed students about the threats young people may face, the methods used by terrorist organizations to recruit new members, the risks that may arise in digital environments, and the importance of individual awareness. The presentation particularly emphasized the need to be cautious against manipulation carried out through social media and digital platforms. Our Vocational School Director Dr. Ebubekir Yaşar, our academic staff, and our students participated in the conference.
At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Murat Dağ, who supported the organization of the event and contributed to the awareness-raising efforts.
The conference concluded with a question-and-answer session with students and a mutual exchange of views. Our faculty will continue to contribute to events that support not only the academic development of students but also their acquisition of social responsibility and security awareness.
