The promotional event organized by the TEKNOFEST and Competitions Coordination Office of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ) at the Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences was held with high attendance. The program was attended by Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Altuntaş, Dean of the Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences; Dr. Ebubekir Yaşar, Director of the Turhal Vocational School; numerous academics; and students from the faculty and vocational school.

During the event, the project development process was shared with participants, starting from the idea stage and including planning, teamwork, prototyping, and reporting steps, as well as the competition application process and evaluation criteria. Thus, the roadmap to be followed from project production to the competition process was comprehensively addressed for students.

The program included comprehensive information about the structure of the Coordination Office, the consulting and mentoring opportunities offered to students, and the support mechanisms provided. The participation processes for national and international competitions, particularly TEKNOFEST, were evaluated, and the key points that students should pay attention to during the preparation stages were emphasized.

In the highlight section of the event, university students who had previously participated in TEKNOFEST took the stage to share their experiences. The students provided guidance to participants by sharing their experiences in developing project ideas, dividing tasks within the team and managing time, the prototype production process, presentation preparations, and the competition process. In addition, Associate Professor Mahmut Durgun and Associate Professor Yeliz Durgun shared their views, suggestions, and recommendations regarding the event and conveyed their experiences. The presentations and Q&A session provided detailed answers to questions about the competition process, raising awareness among participants.

We would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Levent Gökrem, Dr. Serhat Bilgin, Assoc. Prof. Mahmut Durgun, and Assoc. Prof. Yeliz Durgun, as well as our students who shared their experiences, for their contributions to the event. We believe that our vocational school students will develop a culture of project creation, form teams, and successfully represent our university in national and international competitions, particularly TEKNOFEST.
