Our Electrical Engineering students visited the Kayseri Şeker - Turhal Sugar Factory on 16 December 2025, guided by Lecturer Turan AĞIL, to develop their professional knowledge and skills. During the visit, students had the opportunity to examine the electrical systems and automation infrastructure used in industrial production processes.
During the technical tour, officials provided detailed information about the factory's energy distribution systems, motor drivers, panel structures, automation and control units. Students gained professional awareness by observing the industrial applications of the knowledge they had acquired in their theoretical classes.
Factory officials shared important information regarding the efficient use of electrical energy on the production line, occupational health and safety practices, and maintenance and repair processes. Students actively participated by asking questions and had the opportunity to obtain direct information on topics they were curious about in the sector. The technical tour aims to increase students' professional motivation and contribute to their preparation for working life after graduation. Programme organisers stated that similar technical tours will continue in the coming periods.
