International Day of Persons with Disabilities Event Held at the Public Education Center

Within the scope of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an awareness-raising event was organized by the Turhal Guidance and Research Center and hosted by the Turhal Public Education Center.

Upon invitation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sertan Talas, Head of the Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Erdem, Head of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, and Elif Baygın, Psychologist at Turhal State Hospital, participated in the event. The program addressed the concept of disability, the psychosocial processes experienced by individuals with special needs, and the importance of social awareness.

The speakers were thanked for their valuable contributions to the preparation and implementation of the event. The program concluded with informative presentations and discussions aimed at increasing sensitivity toward individuals with special needs.
