The Accounting and Taxation Department of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University’s Turhal Vocational School organized a seminar titled “Career Requirements in the Finance Sector” on October 17, 2025, as part of its Professional Development and Career Events series.

The event featured Mr. Selçuk TAŞ, General Manager of Pena Financial Consultancy and a 2004 graduate of TOGÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, as the guest speaker.

💬 Key Insights into Finance Careers

During his talk, Mr. TAŞ discussed the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes that young professionals need to build successful careers in the finance sector.
He emphasized the growing importance of financial literacy, digital transformation, and communication skills, and encouraged students to strengthen both their technical competencies and personal qualities when planning their professional paths.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn about recruitment processes, sectoral expectations, and professional growth opportunities within financial institutions.

👥 Participation and Collaboration

The event was attended by second-year students from the Accounting and Taxation Program and the Business Management Program, along with faculty members from the Accounting Department.
At the end of the session, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. TAŞ for his valuable contributions.

Organized in collaboration with the TOGÜ Alumni Coordination Office, the event aimed to connect current students with alumni, fostering mentorship and the sharing of professional experience.
